K2 Web Services Platform Features:

1. Expose CORBA Components (CCM) to Web Services CIDL/IDL2WSDL)

In CCM, extended Interface Definition Language(IDL) is a language for describing the services offered by CCM. Similarly, Web Service Definition Language(WSDL) is an XML syntax for describing Web Services. K2 provides tools to convert CCM components into a Web Service interface (IDL2WSDL converter) without any change into the existing code, similarly K2 provides tool to convert, Web Service interface mapped to a CCM Component Infrastructure ( WSDL2IDL converter).

2. Expose Enterprise Java Beans (EJB) components as Web Services (EJB2WSDL)
	Integrating EJB with Web Services is same as integrating CCM, except that in CCM the mapping of CORBA IDL are done to WSDL, whereas in EJB, the Java Remote Interface is mapped to WSDL and vice-versa. K2 provides tool to convert an EJB definitions into Web Service Definition ( converter and WSDL2EJB converter).

3. Compliant with SOAP 1.0.
	K2 Web Services Platform provides W3C Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP) 1.0 implementation support to accept any SOAP requests in combination with HTTP and HTTP extension framework.

4. SOAP binding with HTTP.
	SOAP binding with HTTP provides the advantage of formalism and decentralized flexibility of SOAP with the rich feature set of HTTP.

5. Compliant with WSDL 1.0.
	K2 Web Services, provides W3C Web Services Description Language(WSDL) 1.0 implementation. The implementation supports WSDL SOAP binding and WSDL HTTP GET and POST binding.

6. W3C XML Schema Support.
	K2 Web Services, provides W3C XML Schema implementation. WSDL supports XML Schema as its default type system.

7. MOM Compliant.
	K2 supports both synchronous requests (which requires immediate response) as well as asynchronous web services requests.

8. UDDI 1.0 Compliant and UDDI Repository.
	K2 Web Services Platform provides a Universal Description, Discovery and Integration ( UDDI) 1.0 registry implementation. This repository exposes information about a business or other entity. Anyone can search for information about web services that are made available by or on behalf of any business.

9. UDDI Web Support (coming soon...).
	iCMG provides a UDDI support on the internet. It allows anybody to register their business and services and query about the business and services online.

10. Web Services Deployment Tool.
	K2 provides a GUI Deployment tool, which supports the deployment of Web Services. It allows one to write a Web Service, load/deploy an existing Web Service, generate the UDDI templates for publishing the services. It also allows to select a remote UDDI registry, to deploy this Web Service.

11. Web Services Development Tool.
	K2 provides a GUI Development tool, to generate the SOAP stubs ( either Java/C++) from the existing or loaded Web Service Description Language (WSDL).

12. Command Line Tools
	All tools can be accessed using command line as well as GUI.
