BANGIALORE, AUG. 17.

The Internet Component Management Group (iCMG) is organising a workshop on "Hacking Portals & Websites-Prevention and Damage Control" here on August 24. Mr. Tom Cervenka, Internet Security Expert, iCMG Inc., of the U.S, popularly called "White Hat" hacker, will conduct the seminar.

Delegates from Internet companies and corporate will attend the meet. Mr. Tom Cervenka is a renowned. White Hat/Ethical hacker. He is widely known as the "Blue Adept" and has identified security loopholes in leading high traffic websites. Dr. Srinivasan, Chief Technology Officer, iCMG. India, said: "The web is a powerful tool, which is used to share information and conduct businesses on the Internet. Th Net performs tasks that are as simple as receiving mail to complex monetary transactions.

"With the e-commerce boom, hacking is emerging as a serious concern. While websites are focussing their efforts on making their sites more attractive, they often overlook aspects pertaining to online security. Cervenka's expertise will definitely go a long way in changing the Indian e-security scenario," he said.
