India - August 12, 2002 - iCMG today announced that
GT-One S.A. (Geneva) an
international e-trade company has selected K2 Component Server
to build its global online trading platform phase-by-phase.
The platform aims at optimization of buyers' and sellers'
profitability through web-enabled transaction management and
fulfillment. The trading platform, currently online - offline,
is expected to be launched shortly.
GT-One®
needs standardized means of discovery, deployment, administration
and programmatic access along with component architecture
that can support scalability, availability, and high volume
transaction processing capability.

had extensive interactions with various e-commerce solution
providers. The approach taken by iCMG and the solutions offered
by K2 Server seems to meet our specific needs, viz. gradual
up-scaling, performance, etc.," said Prof.

K2 Component Server is a
server-side infrastructure to develop and deploy CORBA Components.
It is based on OMG's CORBA Component model (CCM) that includes
a Component Model, Container Model, Packaging and Deployment.
It also supports inter-working with EJB 2.0 along with development
and deployment capability of Web Services (UDDI,WSDL,SOAP).
