| Though Bangalore is a key technology hub in India, cloud computing adoption is spotty at best. Most of this adoption is seen in the form of private cloud implementations, mainly by technology service providers. While most end users and service providers are cautious about implementing cloud computing, they should nevertheless start projects to implement IaaS in a development/test environment. SaaS solutions for e-mail, collaboration, expense management and sales force automation have been around for many years, and enterprises should examine their suitability in their own environments. However, organizations (end user and service providers) must be mindful of the change associated with these implementations (e.g., standardization of infrastructure, automation, organizational roles and responsibilities, financial management and maturity of operational processes). This must be addressed when implementing a cloud computing strategy. |
