Pasi has been working with Compuware since 1997 in key technical positions. He has extensive knowledge of the J2EE technology and best practices for application development with J2EE. At Compuware, Pasi works closely with customers in the Asia Pacific region to help them optimize their investments on enterprise J2EE applications through adoption of Model Driven Development approaches with Optimal J, Compuware's advanced J2EE development environment. Pasi has previously performed key technology & product development positions at Compuware's Development & Integration Lab in the Netherlands and earlier in Compuware's offices in Finland. He has held positions with large financial services and consulting companies in Scandinavia. In all, Pasi has almost 20 years experience in the IT industry. He holds a degree in Computer Science.

I started Trac-Car in 2005 in Europe, providing monitoring from real-time GPS vehicle metrics. Road pricing has proved very slow to get
going, so Trac-Car has moved in the direction of real-time telemetry integration.
In 2010, Trac-Car intends to deliver carbon emissions statistics from real-time resource utilisation information, from power
consumption and transport.

As a coach and mentor he works first hand with organizations in the private and public sectors helping them successfully transform their businesses. In 2006 he received the “Lifetime Achievement Award for contribution to Business” in San Diego. Steve lives with his family in England and Texas.
Chief Architect at Aus Govt. Dept. of Human Services
Marie Johnson is responsible in leading the development of the architecture and technology business cases, and coordinating Information
and Communication Technology procurement to underpin the Australian Government’s reform agenda in the delivery of human services. Marie
led the business case development and the Basics Card acquisition, which is a point-of-sale payment capability for the delivery of
quarantined benefits.
Prior to this, Marie was the Chief Technology Architect for the Health and Human Services Access Card program, responsible for the
end-to-end technology and architectural design of the Access Card system.
Marie has private sector experience where she was the World Wide Executive Director for Public Services and eGovernment with Microsoft
Corporation based in Redmond, WA, USA. Marie was responsible for defining Microsoft’s global strategy for public services and
eGovernment which was launched by Bill Gates at the Government Leaders Forum in Lisbon in January 2006.
Dr Frederic Lafon has an established background in mathematics which later saw him pursue a career in spectrum monitoring and
radio-cellular networks before developing a passion for Defence C4ISTAR architectures. He has made significant contributions within
Thales in establishing a strong systems architecting culture, promoting a greater understanding of System of Systems (SoS) integration
projects, and developing specific SoS architectures for network enabled capability proposals.
Charles is Business Architecture practice lead with CSC Australia. He is recognized across CSC as having expertise in CSC's systems
development methodology Catalyst. He was chief architect on the team that successfully integrated the Rational Unified Process into
Catalyst to produce the C-RUP method.
Charles has over 27 years experience in the information technology industry. His career started in programming and systems analysis and
has since included roles in project management, quality management, business process analysis and software metrics. He retains a strong
interest in software engineering disciplines, particularly the use of metrics and other formal techniques. Charles holds a BSc in Pure
Mathematics and MAppSc in Information Sciences. He is a member of the IEEE Computer Society.
Kim worked in a wide range of private industry areas, from wholesale sales, through retail management, administration and financial
management before starting in the IT industry in 1988. In 1994 Kim moved to the Department of Defence as IT Manager for the Capital Equipment Program Division. Over the following 4 years
she managed the implementation of wide area connectivity within Defence across the ACT and co-ordinated IT activity for the Acquisition
and Logistics Program (comprised of 7 Divisions), as well as Project Managing a number of major upgrade activities. After roles at ACTEW Corporation (ACT Electricity and Water) and the ATO she returned to Defence in 2001 and carried out various
contract roles over the next 5 years managing IT Infrastructure development activities for the DSN. In January 2006 Kim returned to the permanent Public service in Defence to the role of Director, Architecture Support in the
Information and Architecture Management Branch of the Chief Information Officer Group. Her broad based IT industry skills and
knowledge were well suited to this role, which managed a wide range of activities covering the development and management of the
Defence Architecture Framework, the Defence Standards Management System, the policy and procedures to support the use of the
Architecture Framework, and the Training development and delivery in support of EA in Defence, as well as the Defence sponsored EA
tertiary courses offered through the Australian Defence Force Academy. She was instrumental in introducing the process which ensures
that all changes to the Defence information Environment (DIE) are architecturally assessed to assure the integrity of the DIE. She has been involved in a range of Whole-of-Government Interoperability Working Groups and is a past Chair of the International
Defence Enterprise Architecture Specification (IDEAS) Working Group which is developing data models, architecture models and
methodologies for interoperability of Allied Nations Business and ICT Architectures. She was also a founding co-Chair of the
Australian Defence Architecture Practices and Training Industry Forum (ADAPTIF) (which is currently inactive). She has been active in
the Australian Government oriented Enterprise Architecture community and has presented on Defence architectures in 2006 and 2007 at the
Telelogic sponsored ‘Innovate’ conference. In March 2008 Kim chose to leave the public service to take new challenges in her current role as Technical Services Group Manager
for the Defence Regional ICT outsourcing contract, at Unisys. In this role she has established a new group with architecture,
technical support and governance responsibilities, providing high level; technical resources in support of over 300 field staff around
the nation. During the 18 month transition from Defence to Unisys operation of the Defence regional ICT infrastructure, Kim also assembled and
managed a team of 12 staff who were technical change agents, travelling to all regions to support other staff in transitioning and to
ensure that service delivery to the clients was not impacted as responsibilities and roles changed. The transition has been described
by Defence management as the smoothest large transition that they have ever been involved in.
Emily Richmond-Jones has worked in Information & Technology roles for over 20 years and has significant experience
in strategic planning and technology services.
Emily began her career working for a global investment bank on Wall Street, NY, spent 10 years with the global
technology giant CSC and is currently CIO at Sydney Opera House. People leadership and developing ideas into action
are Emily’s strengths.
