Level 1 is TOGAF 9 Foundation and is for people who want an overall understanding of TOGAF but do not necessarily wish to be a practitioner.
Level 2 is TOGAF 9 Certified and is for people who wish to be qualified as an active practitioner of the TOGAF Methodology.
There are three types of examination: Level 1, Level 2 and Bridging.
The Level 1 exam consists of 40 Multiple Choice Questions to be answered in 60 minutes.
The Level 2 exam consists of 8 complex multiple choice scenario based questions to be answered in 90 minutes. This is intended to test the candidate’s ability to apply their knowledge of TOGAF.
Level 1 and Level 2 may be taken separately or together.
The third type of the examination is the Bridging Exam for candidates who are already TOGAF 8 Certified.
The Bridging Exam consists of 20 Multiple Choice Questions and 8 complex multiple choice scenario based questions to be answered in 120 minutes.
Candidates sitting the examination in a language other than their first language will be allowed additional time and the use of a dictionary, which must be provided by the candidate and checked by the examination supervisor.
