Dr. Thomas J.Mowbray
Chairman


Dr. Thomas Mowbray (Co-founder & Chairman) is currently on an engagement for District of Columbia government, as their Citywide Enterprise Architect. In this role, he has led the creation of the new Citywide IT Strategic Plan, the standards implementation guide, and the first-ever Citywide Enterprise Architecture.

Dr. Mowbray is a Certified Federal Enterprise Architect (by the FEAC Institute) with experience on over 70 IT projects using diverse technologies: J2EE, ERP, CRM, telephony, DW/DSS, EAI, and web services.

He has been chief architect on projects for District of Columbia, United States Marine Corps, State of Maryland, and United States Air Force while consulting for Keane.


He is Associate Editor of the Journal of Enterprise Architecture.

He is Founding Member and the Director for Advisory Board, WWISA and an internationally-recognized author of 5 books (related to Distributed Computing & Enterprise Architecture) including the international bestseller Software Architecture Bootcamp.

Dr. Mowbray holds the B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana, the M.S. degree in Computer Engineering from Stanford University, and the Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Southern California.
